WARREN COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Drivers in Warren County are seeing construction between Warrenton and Wright City. With that construction many drivers tell First Alert 4 they’re also seeing more crashes and major traffic jams.

Missouri State Highway Patrol said in the last week, there have been about 15 accidents in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 near Stracks Church Road.

“The other day, we had an overturned tanker truck that was hauling ethanol, and it was starting to leak a little bit. Luckily, first responders were able to get that leak stopped,” Cpl. Dallas Thompson said.

When a truck is overturned, Thompson said it causes major backups because another truck has to unload the goods from it.
