MINOT, ND (KXNET) - Around 50 students left the classroom today and gathered at the golf course where they got hands-on educational opportunities from golf course experts.
The Jack Hoeven Wee Links Golf Course in Minot hosted an Innovative, Educational First Green event for Perkett Elementary Students today.
This educational program uses golf courses as a way to learn by focusing on STEAM, which is science, technology, engineering, architecture and math.
Students were able to participate in activities focused on water conservation, soils, golf operations, and putting lessons.
