COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A Colorado Springs road is temporarily closed after one person was injured in a shooting Friday morning.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers received a 911 call at 5:11 a.m. from someone saying they had been shot. The caller was initially in the area of Galley Road and Powers Boulevard, and drove themselves to the hospital.

Police said before the shooting, there was a physical fight in the parking lot of the Amazon campus.

When the people involved left, police say shots were fired into the victim’s vehicle near the intersection of Grinnell Boulevard and Powers Boulevard.

Southbound Grinnell Boulevard, east of Powers Boulevard, will be closed until evidence is collected.
