PORTLAND, Ore. — If you're heading to Downtown Portland this weekend, be aware that portions of SW 4th Avenue will be closed this weekend for repairs.

The roadway will be fully closed between Southwest Columbia Street and Southwest Yamhill Street from 8 p.m. on Friday until 5 a.m. on Monday, the Portland Bureau of Transportation said. Drivers on Columbia, Yamhill and Southwest Madison Street will still be able to cross 4th Avenue at those intersections.

The closures are part of the SW Fourth Avenue Improvement Project , and workers will be repaving much of the roadway in the area.

Residents nearby can expect construction noise on the evenings of Sept. 19 and 20, PBOT said.
