Good morning, folks!
Starting the morning with temperatures in the 50s and 60s across the High Plains. There is a Dense Fog Advisory until 10 AM for the majority of the area as visibility has been reduced to less than a quarter of a mile. As we kick off the first day of Fall, our temperatures will reflect more of the Summer heat. Highs will range in the 80s and 90s with a chance of storms. There will be a first round of isolated storms moving in from eastern New Mexico after 6 PM. Then the second round to the northeast from 10 PM through 4 AM.
The second round is the most concerning for severe weather. The SPC has a slight risk of severe weather in this area. Gusty winds up to 70 mph will be possible with golf ball-size hail. The tornado threat is low but not absent for Lipscomb, Beaver
