Troy scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter and batted down a Hail Mary with three seconds remaining to cap an incredible 21-17 comeback win at Buffalo on Saturday.
The Trojans (2-2) trailed 17-0 heading into the fourth quarter, having not scored an offensive touchdown in more than nine quarters. But on Saturday, Troy got into the end zone on three straight fourth-quarter possessions, the last Tae Meadows’ 20-yard touchdown run with 45 seconds left.
Buffalo (2-2) had one last shot to steal back a win, facing fourth-and-1 from the Troy 29 with eight seconds left. However, Troy safety Joe Lott knocked down Gunnar Gray’s pass in the end zone to preserve the win.
