PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Washington Huskies took back this year's Apple Cup against WSU, with a final score of 59-24.
The Huskies had sweet revenge in mind for their first Pullman Apple Cup in three years, quarterback Demond Williams Jr. cooked for 298 yards passing and five total touchdowns.
Washington State held the game close into the fourth quarter, Cougs quarterback Zevi Eckhaus in his first 2025 start threw for 277 yards and two scores, rushing for another, but also threw a brutal interception for a touchdown in the final frame.
The rushing splits were also uneven, as UW sprinted for 173 yards, averaging over five per carry, and held Wazzu to only 27 yards on 28 carries.
