RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — An off-duty officer working security at Ambis 1 Nightclub reported to police that shots were fired outside of the establishment early Sunday morning.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, the shots were fired around 3 a.m. The nightclub is located on Atlantic Avenue near New Hope Church Road.

CBS 17 was on the scene while forensic investigators recovered multiple shell casings.

Officers said no injuries have yet to be reported as a result of this incident. No arrests were reported at this time.

Raleigh police said this is an active investigation.
