ZEBULON, N.C. (WNCN) -- A vehicle crash has closed U.S. 264 eastbound lanes near Zebulon in Wake County on Sunday afternoon.
A crash was initially reported at mile marker 430 just after 10 a.m., which closed the shoulder, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
Around 10:45 a.m., the NCDOT said one lane was closed.
However, around 12:30 p.m., officials announced the highway heading east was closed. A large tow truck was visible at the crash scene from an NCDOT camera.
The crash is at a small bridge two miles before Exit 432, which is Lizard Lick Road.
The NCDOT said the highway should reopen just after 2 p.m.
No information about injuries or the cause of the crash was released.
