PULLMAN, Wash. -- Police are searching for a man believed to have been involved in a shooting in Pullman early Sunday morning, according to Pullman Police Department.

Around 1:45 a.m. on September 21, PPD responded to a reported shooting near Pullman Albion Road and Cottonwood Lane in north Pullman.

When officers arrived, they found a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.

PPD said it is actively investigating the shooting and has identified 20-year-old Jakori C. Buchanan as a person of interest.

According to PPD, Buchanan should be considered armed and dangerous. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and white shoes. He is described by PPD as a Black male, 5''
