The Pearl River Police Department is asking residents to remain alert after receiving multiple complaints about a man allegedly engaging in suspicious behavior around homes in the area.

According to reports, the man has been knocking on doors claiming he needs to “inspect your roof” in order to gain access to backyards. Witnesses also reported seeing him looking around homes and door frames, and approaching residences when no one was home.

Police said the individual is believed to be driving a gray or silver Chevrolet pickup truck, photos of which were released by the department.

Authorities are urging residents to use caution if they encounter this individual, as his intentions remain unclear.

Anyone who has seen the man or had contact with him in recent days is asked to call the Pear
