ENFIELD, N.C. (WITN) - Police in Enfield are investigating after they say shots were fired at an occupied home.

Police say the shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the Freedom Street area, with officers saying shots were fired from multiple locations.

Police believe two people were involved in the shooting that hit an occupied residence and a parked car.

Enfield police and the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office are gathering evidence and investigating the shooting.

No one has been arrested for the shooting at this time, but police say they are working to identify the suspects.
