A youth football coach in New Milford was arrested after pushing a 7-year-old player to the ground, police said.

The New Milford Bulls were playing against the Water-Oak Youth Football team at New Milford High School when the incident occurred, authorities said.

The New Milford Police said that a disturbance occurred between two assistant coaches after the The New Milford Bulls coach pushed the 7-year-old to the ground after the play ended.

According to police, there were no injuries.

The New Milford Bulls coach was charged with Risk of Injury to a Minor, Disorderly Conduct and Breach Of Peace, according to New Milford Police.
