PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- The cost for a gallon of gas dropped slightly over the past week, according to a website that monitors prices.
According to the GasBuddy website, the average price of gas in the Peoria area was $3.32 a gallon, according to GasBuddy's survey of 148 stations in Peoria. That's down 0.8 cents from last week's average.
That's about 1.4 cents higher than a month ago and 10.4 cents a gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel rose 0.7 cents last week, with the national average being at $3.67 a gallon.
The cheapest places in the Peoria area, the website reported, was the Casey's gas station in Washburn that reported $3.09 a gallon. The most expensive area station was $3.49 a gallon.
