ROCHESTER N.Y. (WROC) — The New York Attorney General’s office has announced the completion of two years-long drug trafficking investigations.

The investigations led to the convictions and sentencing of 47 people, the seizure of more than 10 kilograms of fentanyl, more than 10 kilograms of cocaine, and 19 firearms.

Attorney General Letitia James credited her office’s Organized Crime Task Force and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

One of the networks, James said, was based in Wayne County, with Michael Danzey of Sodus as its leader.

According to the investigation, Danzey allegedly tried to murder someone in 2021 for stealing from him, then leaned on his brother, Terrance Raggs, to help cover up the crime.
