CHAMBLEE, Ga. — Peachtree Road at Malone Drive will be shut down for weeks, as road crews continue a years-long sewer upgrade in Chamblee.

The full closure of Peachtree on either side of Malone and in front of the Chamblee MARTA Station will begin around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24 and could last until November 21, people close to the project told 11Alive. The full road closure is on the back side of the Chamblee MARTA Station.

Crews will be replacing a 30-inch line with separate 36-inch and 12-inch lines, along with updating 80-year-old infrastructure. They have been closing all or part of Malone Drive for weeks, as part of this.
