MINOT, ND (KXNET) — Two North Dakota teachers are about to make their national TV debut, competing against contestants from across the country on the trivia game show The Floor.

This season’s theme is “Duel of the States,” with two people chosen to represent each state. Out of more than 360,000 applicants, North Dakota’s contestants are Jeremy Johnston, a middle school teacher at Rugby Public School who also coaches baseball and girls’ basketball, and Julie Johnson, a kindergarten teacher and volleyball coach at Our Redeemers in Minot.

The show features 100 different trivia categories, ranging from history and math to pop culture and holidays. Contestants submit videos of themselves during the application process and suggest categories they believe they could be 'experts' in. But produce
