ADAMS COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- One Midstate man has the opportunity of a lifetime as he's getting to pick the "Best in Show" winner at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City.

David Fitzpatrick, who's from Adams County, has been a dog handler since the 1970s, and in just a few months, will add another role to his resume.

"I've been going to Westminster since the early 1970s and my dogs have had great luck at Westminster and at the Garden," Fitzpatrick said. "I've had nine group winners at Westminster, two 'Best in Shows' and one reserve 'Best in Show.'"

For 55 years, Fitzpatrick has specialized in all things dog. For over half a century, Fitzpatrick has worked in the show dog business. It's a life that he says that has been fun and exciting.
