FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A Clovis man was sentenced on Monday after sending photos of his genitals to someone he believed was a 12-year-old girl before attempting to meet with her, the Department of Justice announced.

According to federal prosecutors, between Oct. 21 and Oct. 30, 2020, 59-year-old Michael Dickens used social media to message who he believed was a 12-year-old girl, but was actually an undercover detective.

Court records state that Dickens eventually drove to an agreed-upon location to meet with the minor and was arrested by law enforcement.
