MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Most of Los Banos is without power following a 10-mile-long unplanned outage Monday afternoon.

According to PG&E, the outage was first reported at 3:55 p.m. and immediately affected 6,327 customers.

The outage stretches for over 10 miles between Cotton Road and the San Luis National Wildlife Refuge in Merced County. In Los Banos, it is affecting all customers between Willmott Avenue and Pioneer Road east of Mercy Springs Road - other nearby homes and businesses, and those surrounding H Street, are also affected.

Power is expected to be restored by 6:30 p.m., according to PG&E.
