An unexpected payment is set to land in Department for Work and Pensions ( DWP ) benefits claimants bank accounts in a handy bonus this December. The Christmas bonus is set to return, courtesy of the DWP.

The Christmas bonus is worth £10 and will once again be administered to DWP claimant households. But to qualify, you must be in receipt of either Adult Disability Payment or Armed Forces Independence Payment or Attendance Allowance.

Other benefits which qualify include Carer’s Allowance, Child Disability Payment and Constant Attendance Allowance (paid under Industrial Injuries or War Pensions schemes) as well as Contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance (once the main phase of the benefit is entered after the first 13 weeks of claim).
