DOVER, Ky. (WXIX) - The manhunt is finally over for an attempted murder suspect who escaped from a jail in southern Ohio last week and fled over the Ohio River into Kentucky.

An FBI team arrested Jerry Lee Cooper in Louisville on Monday - and a married couple face charges for driving him there, the Mason County Sheriff’s Office announced on social media.

This comes just hours after the Louisville office of the FBI announced a $10,000 reward for information leading to Cooper’s arrest.

“Our investigation indicates Cooper remained in Mason County, where we believed him to be, until today, when Marlana and William Strausbaugh picked him up and took him to Louisville.
