Austin’s largest citywide music fundraiser, HAAM Day, is set to break records this year, with more than 250 shows scheduled for Tuesday across Central Texas.
The annual festival is organized by the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM), featuring nationally recognized artists and rising local talent performing at venues from restaurants and breweries to retail shops.
Festivities began at 6 a.m. Tuesday inside the new H-E-B Plus! on South Congress Avenue before continuing at the Texas State Capitol, where local musicians Gina Chavez and Graham Wilkinson performed on the south steps.
Throughout the day, participating businesses will donate a portion of sales to HAAM, supporting the nonprofit’s mission to provide health care for Austin’s working musicians.
