LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A married couple from London, Ky. plans to give back to their community after a life-changing lottery win.

The pair, who wished to remain anonymous, won $1.5 million playing the $20 "Wild Cash" 200X scratch-off.

Kentucky Lottery officials said the husband, who is a longtime lottery player, typically sticks to $10 games. He changed it up and bought a ticket from one of the lottery's vending machines at the Git N Go on East Laurel Road in London.

"I'm surprised that I even bought that ticket," he said. "I usually buy it from the counter."

After scratching the first row of numbers, he first thought the ticket was a mistake and to check it several times.
