AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) - The Richmond County Sheriff's Office held a special a ceremony recognizing new employees, years of service, awards, and promotions on Tuesday.

The event was held at the Augusta Municipal Building on Sept. 23, 2025.

During the ceremony, several new hires were sworn in, including three new deputies. Employees were also honored for their years of service to the department.

Richmond County Sheriff's Gino Brantley was also present.

"I think you see a lot of the good things that we're doing, and people are excited about the path that we are taking," said Sheriff Brantley. "And a lot of people, when things are going well, they want to be a part of it. And so that's what we're trying to do.
