SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - More than 280 Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools ’ high schools learned hands-on skills for the Positive Peer Influencer Program on Tuesday.

Beach High School student Michael Grant has been a part of PPI since it started three years ago, when it was just a tight-knit group of students reaching handfuls of middle schoolers in our community.

He said they enjoyed it still, but now they are all excited to see its growth with hundreds packed inside the Eckburg Auditorium at Savannah Technical College .

“How to talk to them and how to get to know them and have them open up to us because as Positive Peer Influencers, they open up to us more than they do to the adults, so we have to know how to properly handle that power,” he said. “Now seeing all these people a
