With state tournaments now less than two weeks away, local boys golf teams and individuals are looking to peak at the right time.

Such was the case Monday at Collindale Golf Course in Fort Collins, where Berthoud, Thompson Valley and Mountain View competed with six other schools for Longs Peak League supremacy.

Berthoud won the tournament with three golfers in the top 10. Thompson Valley was third, led by senior Michael Jennings’ sixth-place finish. Mountain View was ninth.

With no regional tournaments this year, state qualifiers will be determined by iWanamaker rankings. The top 84 golfers in each classification at the conclusion of the regular season will qualify for state.
