Raising young children comes with a number of challenges, but thanks to Loveland’s House of Neighborly Service, affording diapers doesn’t have to be one of them. A new partnership with Denver-based Weecycle is now allowing the city’s 64-year-old nonprofit to distribute thousands of free diapers each month, helping local families in need stretch their monthly budgets a little further.

“All these things are preventative measures for homelessness,” said Cheryl Wong, director of communications and development for HNS. “There’s such a cycle of how do we help give a hand up for parents — to keep food on the table, to get the rent paid, pay the mortgage.”

Prior to the partnership, Wong said, HNS relied on donations for its diaper support program and could only offer families up to 10 each month
