The Liberal Party has committed to introducing 10 new Mobile Primary Care Teams – which will travel to various rural communities to provide in-person care to those without a family doctor or primary care provider.
The party is also vowing to open 14 more family care teams across the province if re-elected, adding to the 21 teams already created in recent years.
John Hogan made the announcement in Botwood this morning.
The first mobile team will be established in central Newfoundland, and travel a regular schedule in Cottrell’s Cove/Fortune Harbour, Point Leamington and Leading Tickles for in-person appointments.
