NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A former Nashville caregiver was arrested after an investigation into financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) said.

Agents said 26-year-old Eric Scott used a bank card and personal information of someone in his care to make fraudulent withdrawals, purchases and other transactions between May 26 and May 27.

According to the TBI, Scott was arrested by TBI special agents with the help of the Metro Nashville Police Department. He is charged with theft of property over $1,000, fraudulent use of a credit card over $1,000, identity theft, and financial exploitation of an elderly or vulnerable person over $1,000, authorities said.
