MIDDLEFIELD, Ohio (WBAY) - A First Alert for cheese lovers: A major recall is underway across four states, including Wisconsin.
Middlefield Original Cheese Co-op is recalling multiple cheese products because they might be contaminated with listeria.
The cheese is sold through distributors and dining halls, according to the FDA.
The recall includes organic gouda, cheddar, Swiss, pepper jack, Monterey jack, mozzarella-provolone blends, and Sunrise Creamery’s Dilly Pickle Monterey Jack. You can find all of the cheeses and sizes listed on the FDA recall website .
The recall includes both cheese blocks and shredded varieties.
