KERMAN, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The Kerman Police Department announced the results of a DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint on Madera Avenue that was held Saturday night in Kerman.
Police say 323 vehicles passed through the checkpoint. 219 vehicles were contacted, and 22 were selected for a secondary inspection.
A total of 17 drivers were given a field sobriety test, resulting in four drivers being arrested for DUI, police say.
Additionally, two people were cited for having an open container, and seven drivers were unlicensed.
Funding was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
