A "building and designs" activities event will be held for kids age 7 and up from 1-3:15 p.m. on Oct. 11 in the ballroom of the Historic Park Inn Hotel in Mason City.

Sponsored by Wright on the Park, the free, hands-on event will allow kids to build, transform, repurpose and make abstract art with nature, according to a press release.

Registration is required by Oct. 4. Parents or guardians may sign up their children in person at the gift shop located inside the hotel.
