LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - UK senior running back Seth McGowan might be one of the best runners in the Southeastern Conference. Through just three games, he leads the league in rushing touchdowns with six.

The UK coaches have said he runs like he’s mad at the ground. McGowan doesn’t entirely agree.

“I say I run like I’m trying to get somewhere, for sure.”

McGowan is running toward records, his future, maybe the NFL, but one thing the senior back can’t-- and doesn’t run from, is his past.

After a breakout freshman season at Oklahoma in 2020, McGowan and two teammates stole marijuana, cash, jewelry and shoes from an apartment in Norman.

One player was armed with a gun.

McGowan eventually pled guilty to larceny, which is a felony. He spent three months in jail.
