AGAWAM, Massachusetts — A Connecticut man won the first $1 million grand prize in a new "Ghostbusters"-themed Massachusetts Lottery game, a week after winning a $10,000 prize.
Sevan Garabettian of Enfield won the $1 million prize after purchasing a ticket at the Quick Pic store on 1 River Road in Agawam, Mass, according to Massachusetts Lottery spokesperson Max O'Day on Tuesday.
The Quick Pic store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Garbettian chose to receive the cash prize option and receive a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes. O'Day said he plans use the money to buy a new home and invest.
He won a $10,000 prize the week before on an instant ticket at the same location, O'Day said.
