The Plaza, President Donald Trump ’s first casino in his entertainment empire, was imploded in 2021 after closing in 2014, one of several Atlantic City casinos to shut down that year amid an economic downturn for the gaming mecca. It sat idle for years before the city condemned the property in 2020, clearing the way for demolition.
