LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - A Texas Tech student is recovering in a rehab facility after a crash earlier this month that changed his life.

James and Kristi Poole said their son, Aidan, was headed to campus after dog-sitting for them in Amarillo, when an alleged intoxicated driver rear-ended him and his car caught on fire in Hale County.

Aidan spent weeks in the hospital’s burn center before transferring to an inpatient rehab facility. His parents travel back and forth throughout town for work and to visit with Aidan daily.
