PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. (KCTV) - A police report claims a Johnson County priest and his alleged victim knew each other for months.

The Prairie Village Police Department confirmed it opened an investigation into Father Richard Storey after it received a report on Sept. 4, 2025.

According to that police report, Father Storey is accused of committing a crime involving another adult between March 2022 and Nov. 10, 2022.

The Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas announced last week that Father Storey resigned as pastor of Curé of Ars Parish in Leawood amid the investigation.
