SHADY SPRING, WV (WVNS) -- A local high schooler is taking financial education into her own hands.

A Shady Spring High School senior has organized an entire forum to educate herself and her peers about financial literacy.

Financial literacy and the stability it brings is something that can be helpful for your whole life.

Kareena Patel, a senior at Shady Spring High School, has decided to give herself and her peers the chance to learn about how to get that stability early.

That is why she organized the Appalachian Financial Forum.
