CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Over 3,000 customers are without power in Cascade Township Tuesday night as storms pop up in West Michigan.
As of 9:05 p.m., the Consumers Energy outage map showed 4,703 customers without power in Kent County. Most of those are concentrated in Cascade Township, near Gerald R. Ford International Airport.
It’s not clear what caused the outages, but Storm Team 8 predicted non-severe showers and storms throughout the area Tuesday.
A viewer shared video with News 8 of the intersection of 28th Street and E Beltline Avenue flooded with water at 7:30 p.m.
That’s only a few miles west of the major outages.
