OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Oak Ridge Police Department has begun an internal investigation after video from a 2024 traffic stop began circulating online.

Police Chief Robin Smith said Tuesday in a social media post that the department is aware of videos on social media that "show an officer taking a photo of a woman during a traffic stop and making comments to two other officers on scene about sending it to a supervisor."

An internal investigation is underway into the incident, which occurred on November 2, 2024.
