GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) - Greene County school officials and law enforcement are enforcing safety measures after a post a North Greene High School student made on TikTok.
Officials responded to the post Sunday afternoon after an out-of-state email tip was sent to North Greene High School administrators.
Within an hour, the Greene County Sheriff's Office and Homeland Security pinpointed the threat.
Officials said the post raised enough concern to immediately launch an investigation.
Director of Schools Chris Malone said the school system takes this type of threat seriously.
"We're going to deal with it firmly," Malone told News Channel 11.
Authorities said while no students were harmed, they are monitoring social media for any more "concerning content."
