CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Guardians used an ill-timed decision by Detroit ace Tarik Skubal on Tuesday night to grab a share of first place in the American League Central for the first time since April 22. That’s 155 days, not that anyone’s counting.

They overcame a 2-0 deficit in the sixth inning with three runs on the way to a 5-2 win against the fading Tigers.
