UPDATE: The Chattanooga City Council could continue supporting Volkswagen workers in their contract negotiations, but it won't be in writing.
Councilman Ron Elliott said Tuesday he would remove the resolution from the September 30 agenda, at the request of its author, the Chattanooga Area Central Labor Council.
The resolution would have pledged the council's "full support" to local United Auto Workers. The council previously moved to postpone further discussions about the resolution to September 30.
