GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - WITN highlights local educators every Wednesday morning, all thanks to your nominations. This week, we want you to meet Jackie Greene.

Jackie is a Kindergarten teacher at Pocosin Innovative Charter School in Creswell, Washington County.

Jackie graduated from East Carolina University, but she discovered her passion for teaching while in high school, when she assisted her own Kindergarten teacher.

She’s originally from Halifax County but spent time in Charlotte before moving to Hertford with her family a few years ago.

Jackie strives to foster a welcoming and supportive environment for her students where they feel like they belong and can grow.
