A man has been charged following allegations of a 'string of crimes' in a Wolverhampton town.

West Midlands Police said that Bilston Library was broken into, while there was a number of thefts from a shop.

Staff members and customers reported 'being assaulted or spat at', according to the force.

Officers have charged 39-year-old Kyle Nicholls, from Birmingham, with nine offences.

Nicholls has been charged with three robberies, two thefts from a shop, one attempted theft from a shop, assault, burglary and threatening behaviour.
