Wayne, Macomb and Oakland counties are under flood watch until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
A flood watch means flooding isn't expected, but could be possible because flooding can come with heavy rainfall, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a flood watch in Wayne, Macomb and Oakland counties on Wednesday morning, Sept. 24, until 8 p.m.
NWS White Lake meteorologist Megan Varcie said the flood watch means that heavy rainfall associated with flooding is possible.
"Typically, any (NWS) 'watch' is going to be when ingredients are in place for a specific type of weather phenomena, but it's not eminently occurring," Varcie said.
