KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A 20-year-old woman is facing several charges after crashing into the back of a Tennessee Department of Transportation truck Monday night, according to arrest records.
The report, written by a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper, said he responded to a crash with injuries on I-40 West near Mile Marker 383.8. When he arrived, he found a TDOT truck that had been rear-ended by a Nissan Altima driven by Lauren Dixon.
According to the report, Dixon performed poorly during sobriety testing and "exhibited multiple signs of impairment."
Dixon was taken to Tennova North for her injuries and charged with the following:
Underage DUI
Simple possession
Underage consumption
Drivers to exercise due care
Reckless driving via a DUI
Reckless endangerment
Following too closely
