Following a day off, a two-week Sarnia trial into a $6 million Blue Water Bridge tractor-trailer drug bust involving cocaine and opium from July 2023 resumed Wednesday with the testimony of a drug expert.
Rene Valade, an RCMP constable, testified about where and how those two drugs are produced globally and how they make their way into Canada. He has seen duffel bags used as a way of importing and exporting the drugs, he said.
