CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A beloved Steele Creek non-profit group is gearing up for fall.

Managers of Snowflake Village will open their pumpkin patch this week. This year is especially meaningful since the group's future is up in the air.

The operators are preparing for what will be one of their last pumpkin seasons at this location on South Tryon Street. They're being pushed out of the lot after a city rezoning move.

"We hear a lot from the community as far as, they're really sad it's going to be leaving and that kind of makes me sad too," said President and Co-Founder Brian Wyant.

It's an emotional time for the Wyant family, as they get ready to welcome customers to the pumpkin patch. They and several volunteers spent the day on Wednesday moving and unloading about 3,000 p
